DELTA CENTURY
Presented by the Stockton Bicycle Club
The Stockton Bicycle Club has been monitoring the situation with the coronavirus or COVID-19. As of 3/24/2020 we have decided to cancel this year's event. We are disappointed with this, but feel it is necessary given the circumstances. Due to social distancing, we are currently unable to operate planning operations and obtain government permits. Even if event restrictions were lifted before the event, we do not feel there would be adequate time to prepare.
We hope everyone can enjoy the ability to still ride solo through this crisis. We hope to have this event next year, with everyone safe, still riding and enjoying the healthy lifestyle of bicycling. Thank you for your consideration during these difficult times.
Please check back in early 2021 for updates.
The Delta Century includes three routes, a 100 mile, 62 mile, and a 25 mile route. There are no hills, and the only climbing is for bridges and levees. This makes for an ideal first century or organized ride. Traffic is very light, and there are no traffic signals.
The Quarter Century ($35): 26 miles of vineyards with a fully stocked rest stop midway.
The Metric Century ($55): A delightful 62 mile loop of vineyards, levee roads, rivers and sloughs, and a ride on the J-Mack Ferry!
The Full Century ($55): 100 of the flattest miles around. The same loop as the Metric (including a ride on the J-Mack Ferry) with an added loop to the north.
The current preliminary planned routes are available here at Ride with GPS. Please note the routes may be subject to change due to road, bridge or ferry closures or safety issues. Check back just before the ride, and the day of the ride consult the route sheet and course markings.
Registration is $55 for the full century and metric century, and $35 for the quarter century. On-line registration is available here, with payments though PayPal. You do not need a PayPal account to complete your on-line payment.
